Paideia Academy is now accepting applications for the 2011-2012 school year. We have openings in grades 2 - 12. We also offer a summer school program for students who are struggling or who want to get ahead. Summer school begins June 13th and ends August 5th. The sessions are from 9 - 12 and 12:30 - 3:30. Your children are welcome to come for the morning session, afternoon session, or stay for both. Registration for summer school is $50 per student. After registration, you only pay for the sessions you attend. Each 3 hour session is $15 (no pro-rata). If you are interested in the school year or summer school, please give John Crowder a call at (925)628-4033.

Vacation Days
Just a reminder...There will be no school this Thursday and Friday due to Teacher Convention. Have a good long weekend!!
Paideia Academy works with all students in order to help them develop to their full academic potential. For students who begin attending at an early age, Paideia Academy offers an advanced educational program leading to completion of AP or CLEP tests in literature, language, mathematics, history and science.
In recent years, we have seen many students come to us who have been struggling in school. Some test as much as two or three years behind grade level. We also work with these students, providing remedial instruction where needed, and bringing them as quickly as possible into our mainstream program.
The ability to communicate effectively is increasingly important in a globally competitive world. Recognizing the need in this area, Paideia focuses on development of writing and speech skills. Students at Paideia Academy have won numerous awards in writing and speaking since our first year. This year, students in Junior and Senior High won 16 awards in essay and speech competitions, including a first place win for the state of California in the VFW Patriot's Pen competition, first place awards at the local, district, and area level for the American Legion Oratorical Competition, and first place awards for the local Fleet Reserve Association essay competition.
I am the founder and administrator of Paideia Academy.
I believe that a Christian education should be the best available. Paideia Academy is the answer to my vision. It is a one-room school with students in grades 2 through 12. My goal for the school is to help students achieve their maximum potential in both spiritual and academic development.
